Universal Choral Organization was founded to encourage and promote choral musical and dance performances at Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Education Levels in Nigeria and beyond. And to work actively towards the promotion of all facets of music especially the vocal art.

In a world that develops nuclear weapons, that lives with the expansion of terrorism, and that abuses the environment, musical performances is one of the most powerful unifying forces between nations. Differences in culture, political ideology, race and language disappear when people sing and perform together. Literally, they merge as one voice to become part of a global family.

Universal Choral Organization recognizes that there are perhaps more people in the world participating in choral and musical performances than in any other group activity and that choral musicians need an organization such as Universal Choral Organization to encourage and facilitate international communication and cooperation.

Member to many international Choral and Musical Organizations, Universal Choral Organization organizes sponsor and also seeks sponsorship for local and international music and dance competitions, organizes delegates to represent Nigeria in International Musical and Dance Competitions.
