FOLKLORE AND CULTURAL DANCE GROUP (TEAM NIGERIA)
Universal Choral Organization (Team Nigerian) Folklore and cultural Dance Group was established in 1983, a multi-cultural informative and entertainment group, and was officially registered with Co-operate Affair Commission (CAC) on 30Th march 2007 as NGO under part C. Some philanthropic Nigerians support the troupe, for the sole purpose of promoting Nigeria’s arts and culture in particular and the ideal of the African Tradi-culture and that of African in general. The organizational troupe holds a professional offspring of artistes comprising men and women well qualified to performed not only a wide variety of Nigerian dances and drama but also varieties of skills in African dances and drama with reputation for making consistent and significant artistic, cultural and historical statements.
The organizational troupe is not a performing group at functions/ occasions but actively involved in training other members of the society in the acts of teaching reference points of African cultures. The troupe has performed extensively in Nigeria, African, Europe and American. In Europe, they performed during the festival international des Pyrenees in Frances (1988 and 2000) and embarked on a performance tour of Germany in 1988. They also performed in the Plovdiv International Trade fair in Bulgaria 1986, and flew the Nigeria flag to several CIOFF festival in many European cities like France, Spain, Bulgaria, Macedonian, e.t.c. The troupe in conjunction with Odushima Cultural Heritage Troupe toured the United State of America (USA) in 1987 and received critical acclaim from the America press. The Organization has received favorable review and acclaim in Nigeria and other places it has performed.

OBJECTIVES
• Creating awareness for the descendants of Africa to come in contact with their first culture.
• Promoting African Culture with particular emphasis on music, dance-drama, folklore and other forms.
• Communicating African values and depicting some of the diversified belief system, arts and attributes towards life in creative, dramatic dance styles and rhythms.
• Acting as instrument of diplomacy and foreign policy initiative.
• Promoting solidarity and friendship amongst various people of the world and Africa in particular.
• Projecting the National’s image positively abroad through participation in folk festival all the world.
• Contributing to mental and physical well being of the Nigeria people.

NATIONAL SECONDARY SCHOOLS CHORAL GAMES
(NASSCGA) 2007.
This is a competition organized to promote Choral Musical among Children, Youths and Adolescents, it is aimed at encouraging and bringing out the best Choral and Musical Performing Group from Secondary Schools Students in Nigeria, the outstanding group in the competition will represent Nigeria in International Choral Competitions. This is going to be an annual event, and some regional competitions will also be organized to bring out the best from every region to compete in the National Competition. Participating schools are expected to obtain a form with a fee at our secretariat fill and submit, they are also expected to organize their choir to represent and compete with other Schools in the Regional and National Competitions.
NATIONAL UNIVERSITIES CHORAL COMPETITION
This involves an Annual Choral Competition among all the Nigerian Universities, each University is expected to present a choir group to represent them in the National Competition. After the competition an outstanding Choir group will emerge and will represent Nigeria in International Choral Competitions. To participate each university Choir group is expected obtain a form with a fee from our secretariat fill and submit, each University group is also expected to organize and coordinate its choir group to represent and compete in the annual National Competition.
